Murmurs
I talk to myself quite a bit, and that's how the idea for this started. I realized at one point that I say and think a lot that I often forget. When I was moving from Portland, Oregon to Austin, Texas (a particularly tumultuous time for me), I bought a voice recorder and on the four day road trip, recorded what I'd say when I talked to myself. Most of the book thus revolves around death and loss in an individual sense, as after returning to the cassette tape I realized that I had forgotten most of what I'd thought on the road only days after being in my new town of residence. Many of the ideas, themes, and writings are buried deep graphically and made impossible to read just for the sake that, while I think they were important, the sentiment is obviously forgettable.
