Hi, I'm Colin. I like to make art type things, take pictures and write. I live in San Francisco and Distorted Perspective is where my work tends to live. I have a bachelor's degree from SCAD in graphic design and a master's in photojournalism from BU. I was born in Alaska and have lived on each coast more than once and have never seen Russia from anyone's house.

I don't believe much in apologizing for ones self, so I treat Distorted Perspective as simply a digital extention of my life. My work is here, along with personal stuff, along with stuff probably nobody else cares about but me. I don't like the idea that the world somehow shames us into constantly crafting some sort of presence always targeted toward a certain demographic. I say be yourself and let the chips fall where they may.

That being said, it's incredibly humbling to know as a person that others take time out of their life to look at what I take pictures of or draw or read what I write. The fact we all are only here once and some spend their time on my work and life is impossible to show proper gratitude for. So thank you for visiting is all I can offer.
